#21 Burgers a la King

Husband thought his luck had struck when this recipe was drawn out of the bag

"what??" he said
"we're going to Burger King for tea"?!

Unfortunately I had to break the news to him that actually it was a recipe for veggie burgers with a white sauce plus sherry and mushrooms! With this he promptly ran to the supermarket and bought the 2 biggest meatiest burgers they had to offer as his accompaniment to this dish!

Basically this dish is onions, pepper, paprika, stock, sherry and veggie burgers added to a white sauce (newish to white sauce making and was a success I'm pleased to add)! We served it with rice and it was really yummy, very filling and enough leftovers for lunch again tomorrow (always a bonus) - was a real comfort food dish!

P.S had to make an emergency visit to the gym today as Linda seems to be having a negative effect to my waistline, but all I could think about was dinner so not the best workout ever ;-)
