Urban Decay

Not the best bit of Nairn. Nairn is not really a bad place - it has an interesting High Street, a magnificient East Beach with miles of sand between the Moray Firth and Culbin Forest. And a nice promenade to the west. And the harbour in the middle. But for travellers on the A96 between Inverness and Aberdeen this is what they see of the town. The whole of this part of town is pretty grotty and unless people make an effort to stop and explore this is the impression they will take away with them. And if they were there today they would have had plenty of time to soak in the view as traffic was moving very slowly indeed. I've passed this spot many times on my way to Nairn's beaches or further towards Elgin but today decided to go specially and park in Links Place by the sea and walk back to take a picture of this and one or two other things in the area.
