Picture on my desk

Although only taken a few years ago, this picture graces my desk as a reminder of simpler times - when Breeze wasn't constantly in conflict and a Amethyst wasn't almost hitting double figures.

It is hard watching my kids grow up, one is currently taking her GCSE's which is a huge leap from the last time I spent quality time with her - no longer the child but more an eager young woman.

Back at home my younger two are racing through primary school - Amethyst is hitting double figures this year and we are now wondering how long we have left before "that talk" is needed. Breeze on the other hand is becoming more of a handful due to her problems, mainly not her fault but the frustrations for her future are starting to take their toll on us.

We can but prepare our children for their future in the best way we can - ultimately it is their's to make, mistakes and all!
