Procrastination and Optimism

I put off cutting the grass until we had some sunshine to dry it, thinking it was going to happen tomorrow, but tomorrow was a long time coming. We finally got some warm weather and I had to do it. The rabbits weren't able to keep up -- perhaps we just need more rabbits, or sheep.

I was going to watch the Warbirds Weekend flying at the Heritage Flight Museum today, but too many things got in the way. First, C's Mac needed some TLC, then there was the lawn demanding attention, and finally I really wanted to finish putting together The Workbench. You're probably wondering why it's taking so long. It's a long story involving damage during shipping and defective parts, requiring returns and replacements. I'll spare you all the details, but if I tell you that I requested compensation for my ordeal, and received it in the form of a substantial gift voucher, that should give you some idea of how much trouble I had.

So I didn't see the WWII airplanes, but they'll be there next month, I made C happy, harvested the hay, and finished The Workbench. I rewarded myself with a bottle of The Dissident (2008 release).
