Little Voice
"If you're still enough, the wild mind, the mind that isn't preoccupied with oughts and shoulds and the minutiae of life, will approach you and make itself known."
--Claire Dederer, Poser: My Life in Twenty-three Yoga Poses.
I have been writing all day, words and feeling welling up and surging out, barely waiting for my fingers to catch up. Words have overspilled my banks like the John Day River is overspilling its banks in central Oregon. After the rainiest winter in history, now that the snow is melting, there is a gushing, swelling, pouring forth that will drown the woman who fights it. After all those words, I went in search of images, color and shape and texture and no words. But this is what caught my eye.
