Another year ends

It's the last day of this schoolyear and I'm blipping a two-in-one.

Well, firstly, there was the spring festival of the secondary school my brother Sam goes to - or now used to go to, since he and his girlfriend M just graduated from comprehensive school and finished their nine years of official compulsory education today. Check the image on the left, where Sam and M are posing with their diplomas and roses.

Sam and M now need to wait until June 16th, when they'll get to know which schools they are going to attend next Autumn. Sam is wishing for a student place at the Electrician Study Program in the vocational school of our hometown. I hope he gets there, though it would have been great if he had chosen high school, since he's very talented in natural sciences, especially physics. M is going to attend the same high school I go to - actually, our secondary school and high school are living in a symbiosis in the same building, so M's routines won't change as much as Sam's.

In the image on the right, you can see my friend K graduating from high school and becoming a baccalaureate. Just a few seconds before this shot he got his diploma file from the headmistress and white matriculation cap from his class leader, who can be found smiling greatly behind him in this shot. However, as an entirety, this year's Graduation Celebration was a very emotional event: the speeches dealed with this year's baccalaureates' long way to the top, but also the loss of their classmate last February.

In addition, there was lots of longing in the air, because many people won't see each other in a great while, perhaps never again, as people choose their own directions to follow. After all, it was still an unforgettable day for specially the baccalaureates themselves. That's what I'll experience next year, hopefully, as I'm having one year left now.

"No one ever was less ready than you are, but none can never be more ready to go as you are now", their class leader ended her speech.
