Feminine
Day 262
This dairy heifer is the female, all round milkier sequelae to 'Bovine'.
Spent the day vetting with my brother, aside from sheep and rabbits we managed to pretty much cover all veterinary bases. Bit of consulting; a spot of surgery on dogs and cats; off to see some beef and dairy cattle to see to several herd health concerns (i got literally coated in sh*t, much to the amusement of the farmer); scooted off to a pig farrowing (sadly the sow had to be put down, but one piglet was saved by cesarean section and they named it after me); we then dashed off to re-dress a horse's leg after scoffing down a quick pork pie for lunch; and then off to vaccinate two tenny tiny minature Shetland ponies (they were horrid); and finally a little more small animals consulting.
Ah, a day in the life of a mixed practice vet!
