Icy Strait Point, Alaska
Day 3 of the cruise and day 3 of beautiful warm weather. I was beginning to think that all the layers and umbrellas they told us to pack were not going to be worth it.
Arrival in Icy Strait wasn't until 2pm. We had switched our watches back overnight so we were now an hour behind Vancouver and a whole 9 hours behind the UK.
The morning was spent cruising up some beautiful Alaskan narrows, with land close to us on either side. A perfect opportunity to spot some porpoises, whales and bald eagles.
Icy Strait is a small town of around 700 residents. The pier is tiny, therefore the Celebrity Century had to anchor off in the bay and we traveled between ship and shore on the tender boats, which was a fun experience.
Beautiful town. Lots of walks. Great beach. I sat and got a little sun burnt. A few hours on shore and then back on board for yet more food and drink.
