Walk in the Woods

Day 4 of Carys being unwell. Still has temp of 39+ without calpol or nuerofen. Feels very sorry for herself interspersed with glimpses of the real Carys. Really rough night for everyone with roughly 4-5hrs sleep for the adults and very broken at that. William woke at six after waking two hourly through out the night. Carys managed until 8am which wasn't that surprising as she had had both Daddy and myself awake from2-4am.

So we (the adults) decided we had to get out of the house. I for one was getting cabin fever. So off we went to a camping exhibition and I get the feeling I maybe returning there tomorrow to purchase a 6man tent. We'll see what a nights sleep (hopefully) will do with that thought.

After that we had a picnic in Hitch Woods. Although Carys seemed to enjoy the walk she refused to eat anything much, which is really unlike her and got really upset at William because he kept insisting on trying to hold her hand.

Unsurprisingly she had a relapse on the sofa when we returned and still refused to eat anything, but did at least drink a large amount. Temp of 38.9 and a dose of neurofen later she was back up in bed. I'll take her to the GP tomorrow. I'm fairly sure they will only tell me it is a virus, but it is so unlike her to be ill for more than 48hrs and the temp is really persistent considering she runs normally at a lowish 36.
