Blue Statues in St. Albans Cathedral

My eldest son persuaded us to go out on a family day to St. Albans. We walked through the park and up the hill to the Cathedral.
I popped in and wandered around remembering all the times I visited here 20 years ago. St. Albans was the first place I lived and worked when I got married - the cathedral canteen did a cracking lunch and I loved sitting quietly occasionally in the cathedral. Lots of fun things happened here and many sad things aswell, so it was interesting to visit after a long time. I had my camera round my neck so felt very much the tourist which felt very comfortable, amazing how a camera can give you protection, a distance in a way.
I took many pictures but for some reason found these blue men intriguing in the cathedral. They look very out of place, rough and not refined for a cathedral but I liked that. I especially liked the glasses the statue on the right is waying - very perculiar.
I lit a candle and left my thoughts and reflections burning away in front of an image of St. Albans, time is a great healer.
