I'm back again!
It's about a three hour journey to Melfort. We had two breaks on the way, but the last stage saw Jess quite anxious - she has never been a good traveller. Somehow, on this occasion, things were made worse by their leads becoming entangled. We did not realise that there was a problem until we came to unclip them after arrival - but Jess & Molly were soon at home.
Molly was all for going straight to the lochside. She inspected the French doors which give right out to the water. They were closed, so she headed immediately for the side door - but that was also shut. There was nothing else she wanted to do, so eventually I let her out while Mrs jml got on with unloading the car.
Once out of the house, they were soon back into their usual roles: Molly was right in for a swim, all the time looking back at us (Jess & myself), expecting/hoping that we will come in with her. Jess was having none of it. She climbed onto the harbour wall - seen in today's blip - and announced to the world that she was back, and that all land in sight was her property!
Unfortunately, she was not content with simply surveying her domain - her barking was excessive - a nuisance to the neighbours. We had to get both of them into the house.
At this point, Jess was the obedient one. She came when she was called. Molly was defiant - she was on the beach, and she was not going to be rounded up. Until, of course, we set out tea for Jess. At that point, Molly realised that she was missing something - in she came!
