Birdwatcher

I opened my eyes to this exact scene early this morning, and rolled over to grab my camera from the side table. My cat Lola discovered a bird's nest on the window ledge above our fourth- story apartment, and has been standing watch ever since. And as long as she is trapped in this destitute birdless building, by God, that's what she'll do.
