Heaven

Would God be annoyed,
If I laughed out loud?
If I mis-used reverence,
In front of a crowd?

Would he think me vain,
If I should so act?
And show my up-bringing,
By the polish...I lacked?

Must I hold myself straight,
With a stearness wrapped in?
Or can I unloosen,
And be enveloped in a grin?

Is it so sinful?
To give a good laugh.
To watch every kernel,
That drops from the chaff?

For God wants his children,
To be happy...you see.
And that means...my neighbor,
The beggar...and me.
