Double Dog Bluff Beach & Mt.Rainier

Today was one with glorious sunshine so we packed up the car, loaded the hooligans into the back with Patrice's special rug bed underneath them, and headed to South Whidbey Island. here

To get there we took a short ferry across Puget Sound from Mukiteo to Clinton. Then it was only a short ride to the spectacular Double Bluff beach area and after we trekked a bit the dogs were able to go off leash. They bounded off in ecstasy soaring over the sand and salt water. I even washed up a big shell for them to use as a water bowl and filled it with fresh water. They played joyfully for a couple of hours and then we headed out for another adventure. In the background is Mt. Rainier!

We stopped at Greenbank Farms for a few goodies like jalapeño-raspberry jam and smoked Gouda popcorn. Then we headed back toward the ferry and went to Margarite Brons off leash park for another more sedated happy hooligan romp.

Then off the ferry and back safely home...a lovely time was had by all;)
