End of the line

This is a break in the best canal in England and Wales.

It was a complete canal into the 1960's although there had been breeches.

Just when lesser canals were being re established this one was being built over by

shortsighted bureaucrats with authority but no vision.

So what we see is the end of a length of water with water lilies when we

should see clear water with canal boats bringing modest prosperity to the

Montgomeryshire Canal and the region through which it passes!!
