Dancing Drunk Girls to Samba Drums

This is one of the most average quality images I took today, but it's also the one that says most about Peace in the Park (on the Ponderosa, Sheffield).

It's an event with an atmosphere of its own. Light, happy, lively and fun. It's music. It's charity. It's friendship. And I love it.

Not long after this, the Sheffield Samba Band performed (2 friends are members). My eldest was astounded at the variety of people crammed into and spilling out of the tent. And the styles of dancing. And how everyone was dancing. It was very nearly a samba moshpit.

Can't wait till next year.
