Ragga-Rock Garden Party

Well, it cannot be said that my social life at the moment is dull. Just returned from an absolutely delightful garden party/concert with a group of chums from the Norwich Pride Collective which was hosted by the lovely Magnet Man and held in the garden of his home in one of the villages just outside Norwich. It was by invitation only guests were asked to arrive by 6pm and for four hours everyone was entertained by some pretty dam' good bands including the man himself who is launching his new album in September.

Food and drink was available and guests were simply asked to make a donation toward costs; the atmosphere was friendly and laid back and to me it felt like being at a family gathering of some very nice people. Apparently Magnet's mother-in-law had organised the whole shebang. She was extremely gracious and personally supervised the distribution amongst the guests of trays of doughnuts, profiteroles and chocolate eclairs. How rock and roll was that?

Much as I enjoyed the garden party/concert itself the highlight for me was the journey out to the venue as I got to ride in the back of my chum Di's open top
truck! With the wind in my hair, the sun on my face and a medium-sized rainbow flag in my mitts it felt like the perfect activity for an early summer afternoon.

And finally: when Magnet is not being a rock star he and his equally delightful wife breed miniature horses. Even though we could only see them from a distance they looked very, very sweet.
