As quiet as the grave!

Well this was my Christmas pressie from my lovely son and daughter-in-law, a tour of Wimbledon :0)

It was fascinating and although it looks very quiet here on centre court, there was a lot of hustle and bustle going on in preparation for the championships starting in just over two weeks time.

There was a groundsman on one of the outside courts walking very slowly with a stanley knife in his hand. He would occasionally stoop down and very delicately remove a tiny weed.
He should visit our garden! There wouldn't be any grass left!

And what's more.....I was fortunate enough to get tickets in the ballot, so will be back on 29th June. I will hopefully blip centre court looking very different than today!

We were finally treated to a picnic at Wimbledon Park including strawberries and cream, and of course the obligatory Pimms!
