Heim Theory
Left deaf, blind and without hands, after a laboratory explosion during WWII, the German Physicist, Burkhard Heim went on to develop his own 'theory of everything'.
Having worked virtually as a recluse, and writing in German only (using artificial hands), his work from the 1950s on was never given serious attention during his lifetime.
However, now, there are many groups of scientists around the world (including allegedly the US Navy) who are trying to turn his theory into experimental practise.
One of the most interesting parts of his work is the theory that photons (units of light), could under a strong magnetic field, be turned into gravito-photons and hence provide a method of defying gravity.
I am not claiming that I have mastered this technique yet, but this photo may give you an idea of what may be possible if science eventually cracks Heim's code.
