Appleby Fair

Been up to Appleby today to visit the annual horse fair. We like to go most years and quite often it is like a mud bath as it always seems to rain but, this year, no rain! It has been a lovely day. We watched the horses being soaped in the river whilst having a picnic. Then we walked up to the main fair where the stalls are and watched the horses being raced along the back road.

I have taken many pictures of horses today but I have chosen to go with this one of three young gypsy girls. These girls are enjoying Appleby and strutting their stuff. Most of the gypsy girls dress up and they are amazing.
