Freshly Mown

It seems like summer is being rationed out to us just a day or two at a time. I've felt very sluggish after making the most of the last two exquisitely beautiful evenings. Today has been quite murky here, with the sun only briefly making an appearance through layers of low cloud. A very different kind of light today.

I went down to the cricket club to watch No.2 son bowl really well and claim 3 wickets for the seconds. Very much the proud dad! Just went for a short cycle to look for a blip. This was taken less than a mile from home. The farmers have taken advantage of the sun to mow many of the fields around here. I love the contrast between last night's almost iridescent greens and these pale shades left from the mowing.
