While on my runs

The Backs of Others

Went out quite early for a Saturday morning as the forecast was that the weather was only going to get worse through the day. So gentle drizzle was preferable to what did actually occur which has been constant and mostly heavy rain.

On my way through Grey Lynn Park, I saw this intriguing sculpture once again, and decided that this would be today's blip.

The sculptor is Inia Taylor, born in 1967 in Napier, of Ngati Rauakawa descent. He has been instrumental in resurgent interest in tattooing in recent years. This sculpture was erected in 2006, and is made from totara and copper.
