"Rain"

The sound of rain has always been a soothing sound for me. Whether pounding briefly on our corrugated roof, or tapping lightly at my bedroom window, it brings a feeling of warmth, comfort and safety. I may stand outside on the verandah and breathe in the smell of the eucalypts soaking it up while it drums on the roof overhead, or snuggle further into my bed and just listen to it. And there's no better kind of study day than one filled with cold, grey and miserable weather outside and a heater, blanket and hot drinks inside. In one ear I have The Shins and in the other taps the rain. It's going to be a good day.
