Summer In The Garden

The Warrington Community Garden has been tilled for around thirty years, being on the site of a bolt & chain factory that burned down. I remember, not long after my arrival in the neighborhood, when the gardeners incorporated themselves and bought the land itself. At that point, this scene was far more humble, showing the remnants of Industry as much as the hopes of Nature and nourishment. Half-forgotten are the scattered plots that poured over with weeds for lack of participants. Now there is a long waiting list, and a neglected plot will be declared abandoned in a hurry. Now the garden is in full sail and looking its best.

For a late winter capture of this garden look here.
