Abandoned Eggs

No work today and as promised the sun split the sky. Had a lunch time visit from Jack Black. We sat in the sun and nattered for a good few hours. No weeding was done but that didn't matter as the temp. was 35 degress in the garden. Way too hot to weed

Me and him sat in the garden this evening and then went for a walk up to Willies wood. It was still warm and the view was lovely as always.

A couple of weeks ago I noticed a lot of activity in amongst one of the clematis. Birds hopping in and out. I thought there might be a nest. Since the high winds we haven't seen the birds, Mike has a peek tonight and saw this. I guess for some reason they have been abandoned. We shall leave it as is for a while but its a wee bit sad.
