Freiston Shore At Sunset
We have just spent a splendid hour at Freiston Shore just down the road here at Butterwick.
It was a perfect sunset for photography and I think I got some cracking shots, I won't know until I get home.
There was a huge colony of Black Headed Gulls, all with chicks. Very noisy and very spectacular.
We spent the last half an hour watching a small number of Avocets sifting through the silt with their incredible beaks.
It's not been a bad day at all. We spent a lot of it visiting Dawn's family and handing out the wedding invitations.
Suddenly with them all out there and winging their way to the various people we have invited makes the whole wedding thing seem much closer and more real.
