Autumn in June

On a wonderful June day, it was sad to hear the autumnal rustling of the leaves on trees and bushes all along the Cowal shore at Toward, where last week's freak storm carried so much salt onto the trees that they seem dead months before their time.

I wonder if there will be any further growth this summer...
