Art Gallery York
Visited here this morning to see the David Hockney Bigger Trees Near Warter. This is the largest painting he has ever produced, measuring 12 x 4 metres made up of fifty canvasses which fit together to complete the picture. He took about 6 months to complete the canvasses, all painted on site. The scene is near a village in East Yorkshire called Warter.
I have always liked Hockney's work, he always seems to come up with something different. Well worth a visit, but only a few days left as the exhibition finishes on the 12th June and moves on to another part of Yorkshire.
