Make hay when the sun shines!

What a day - it's been hot and sunny all day today. I was cooking this morning ready for my friend who arrives this afternoon. Finished by mid-day so lunch outside to enjoy this gorgeous weather. Later, this is what we encountered on our walk. The smell of newly cut grass is wonderful, it should be bottled! Kept a close eye on Bracken to make sure there was no repetition of yesterday.
Looking forward to my friend coming for the weekend. We met on a trip to the Greek islands last year, she hasn't been here before so I am very pleased the weather is good. Off to savour the delights of The Dog & Gun tonight and for tomorrow I have my fingers crossed she's impressed with my attempts this morning at cooking two vegetarian dishes!
