Chatsworth Players

This year the Chatsworth Players are on the road.
Usually they perform at Chatsworth House in the amazing theatre which was created in 1896 by William Hemsley for the 8th Duke of Devonshire but this year owing to restoration work being done at Chatsworth they find themselves without a home.
Fortunately there are no shortage of venues more than wiling to stage their plays.
So they find themselves playing at Bakewell town hall and at a farm in Cromford!, a first for the company.
The performance this year is 'Night Must Fall' by Emlyn Williams, and I went along for the final rehearsal before tomorrows opening night.
A complete run through went very well with only minor comments from Celia the director who with the cast appears to have done a great job in pulling it all together in a short space of time.
