Dry Rigg Quarry to Pen y Ghent
I've blipped variations of this view before. Lazy really, it's just on the way to a crag we often climb at after work.
I've a bit of a fascination for quarries, as some of you will know. Half reviled by them, half fascinated. This one comes upon you quite suddenly, a vast rent in the hillside, dark depths fall away at your feet. But endlessly interesting, this study of a fellside in cross-section.
I really must get up here in morning light, at least for a change, though.
