Little Weed.
I've not been very well, at all, today (Thursday - this is a backblip )and I've still got a headache. I have one of those jobs where it doesn't matter how ill you are, you can still sit in front of a computer and work - but it was slow going. It has also been a very long day.
The flower above is a weed. I've left the garden to its own devices entirely this year to see what came up. These came up. They are called fox and cubs. I think they are quite pretty in their own little way.
I have finally removed the lazy lens ( Tamron superzoom) from my camera and decided to go back to two lenses for a while. The superzoom is great but does occasionally cause some colour fringing, which I have to faff about removing.
This photo was taken with the 55 - 250 lens with the canon 500D close-up lens attached. The close up lens looks a little bit like a filter but it is 1 inch thick and made up of two elements. It doesn't get as close as my macro lens but it is a lot easier to carry around and if I going to be going around with an 18 - 55 and a 55 - 250 lens, I am not going to put the macro lens in the bag as well. The close up lens is normally quite easy to use, but it was hard to get a really good focus today - especially when I couldn't make up my mind which bit I wanted to focus on. It doesn't matter how still you keep the camera, if the flower wants to keep moving about in the breeze. I didn't consider using the flash. With a head as thick as this, there was no way I was going to put up with white light striking the inside of my brain.
