outside, inside, marvellous

What an interesting day. Was scheduled to work from home for the morning and head into work for the afternoon as we were to get cavity wall insulation fitted.

So, up early to get a bunch of work done before the guys came at 10. Then at 8, the door goes. The guy (yep, a one man truck) was early.

Politely declined him drilling holes in the house at that time of the morning and back to work. He comes back at 9:45 and so begins the drilling.

11:15 and the drilling stops, afternoon at work got busier and that was that.

11:30 and the main reason I was going into work got rescheduled. Air compressor on and the beads start to fill the cavity.

13:45 meant to be heading to work and no sign of the filling being full.

14:45 and we are done. Too late to make the meetings at work, but a few follow up phone calls to do.

16:30 finished work for now. Time to help prep for visitors. And clean up outside.

Now after a delicious meal (beautifully cooked by Mrs theWeir) and stellar company, we are outside at 8:30. In the warmth of the evening and giving our wee chimnea it's first firing.

Glorious way to unwind after all that.
