Vive la Vie

For David

It's Ascension Day here in Belgium, so we had a family day out to Bruges which was great. It is a beautiful place and as the sun was shining I felt particularly inspired, so on the way home I made the decision to finally start blipping!

I took the photo from the St.Janshuysmolen windmill, which is the only one (in Bruges) that can be visited. As luck would have it we arrived at the windmill just minutes before it opened, and as it was a bit more off the beaten track, we were the only ones there. So myself and my three year old daughter climbed the very steep stairs (more of a ladder) up to the entrance. Once we were inside the mill it was a little bit dull to be honest, until I spotted a circular hole/window and took the above snap. I know everyone who visits probably takes the same snap and with a decent camera anyone can get a good result. That's one of the reasons why I have joined blip - so that I can learn how to improve and use my camera to it's full potential.

So David, thank you for the advice and inspiration. Oh, and the 50mm lens!
