Gnome of Earth

The sculpture is carved by Ewa Kobylanczyk from Poland. It is made from an old white willow that grew in the Kaisaniemi park, in the centre of Helsinki. The park was crowded with content people, as today is Ascension Day and a public holiday in Finland. The weather was fantastic summer weather.
