Botanics #2

Another trip to the Edinburgh Botanic Gardens today - this time I was there on a school trip with the primary 2's.

It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining so it was a real pleasure to be walking around the gardens, normally the weather is rubbish for school trips.

The kids were drawing lots of the plants and trees by the pond, so we were there for a wee while. I love these giant gunnera (I think that is what they are!) They are huge and tower way above the kids - they have a kind of jungle or prehestoric feel about them.

The Titan Arum is still growing - its about 37.5cm tall now.
