The Adventures of Traveling Standby

Today I was trying to travel to Hawaii for a few days over the holiday weekend. Unfortunately, so were a lot of other people on benefits. For every flight I kept seeing my name being bumped further and further down the list. I ended up staying in LA for a visit with the sister and helping her move to her new condo! Luckily I didn't make it out there as a friend who had made it home the day before said that Honolulu was a "non-rev camp"... He guesstimated about 500 people trying to get home with 98 on the standby list for his flight alone.
