Western Jackdaw Juvenile

This early morning, having breakfast, my attention was drawn by alarm calls of jackdaws flying in circles over the backyard. I went outside and saw a cat sneaking to a small tree. In that tree sat a young jackdaw.

Although I'm for letting nature take it's course I thought this a too much easy prey for the well fed cat, so 'I clapped my hands & stamped my feet' ... ;)

Was it gratitude ... I couldn't ask the juvenile ... fact was it didn't move and I could get the camera and capture him as you can see above ... ;)
