Using old skills.

I enjoyed work this morning. It was one of those mornings when I felt I used my talents to my best ability. To cut a long story short, I did a lot of music with the children this morning. I wrote a basic graphic score of a piece of music that we will be getting our class of 5 and 6 year olds to perform using percussion and voices. After that I had the whole class together to attempt for the first time altogether the 2 pieces for recorders that they will perform at their end of term show. It went pretty well, I'm ahead of schedule. I must add, all the teaching was conducted in Turkish, and I still tell people I can't speak Turkish properly!! I suppose I mustn't be that bad after all. Anyway, it felt good to access old skills. I was buzzing by lunchtime.

As I'm quite tired now I was relieved that two of my four hours afternoon teaching was postponed until tomorrow. That means I've carved our 2 hours for myself before the boys get home. The photo is of my cushions that I'm relaxing on now, with a coffee.
