The aptly named Casa Rosada

Spent this afternoon strolling around the Puerto Madero until sunset - full of old brick warehouses which have been converted into lofts a la London Docklands. A nice place to watch the world go by and drown a cafe con leche.

Lighting up the skyline behind it is the magnificent Casa Rosada (Pink House). While my fingers were firmly crossed that it was a nightclub, it turns out it is in fact the presidential palace. Tosh. Still they could perhaps put on a monthly Sunday night gig couldn't they?

When Evita asked Argentina not to cry for her, she did it from these walls.
