After the rain ....

Lunchtime today was glorious, blue skies and cotton wool clouds and the first bud on our philadephus 'mock orange' had burst open - I look forward to this wonderful yet simple and abundant display every year and of course the fragrance too.
I took several shots and almost went with a larger DoF that had all the buds and sky in focus but then changed my mind to this one - hope it was the right decision?

Let's hope the summer has returned !
