Things have improved insofar, as thanks to modern technologies and obviously more refined methods of assessing the real situation in situ, you can now check on an internet site or by phone if you may have a walk or not, depending on the weather. Just until a few years ago, there was no access at all in summer, no matter if it had rained or not. So you had your last walk in May, and everything was still rather green, to return in October to a totally different landscape.
