manhattanhenge 2011

So, twice a year, the sun sets on Manhattan and it can be seen at the same moment on every gridded street in the city. Usually the sunset only hits either the north or the south side of the street, but tonight it hit both.

After sprinting up 33rd street to get to the top of the hill on Park Avenue, I joined about twenty other photographers posted up on a barricade in the middle of the street to snap "Manhattanhenge."

I hope the other blippers in New York were able to catch it!
