Bethlehem Infrared R72 filter

Happy Memorial Day - Bank Holiday..or Monday. I woke up thinking about that R72 filter I bought years ago. Never had good luck with infrared but thought I would try it again. Several test shots worked although focus is hard as newer lens don't indicate IR compensation.

So we went up to South Mountain and while this shot isn't as sharp as I would like the far mountain range is 10 miles away and wasn't visible to me due to haze.

Techie - R72 is very dark red filter - you can't even see through it. Exposure was 30 seconds - so trees and clouds are wispy from movement. This is not an Photoshop effect - this is how the image actually is captured. Processed as tritone.
