St Andrews

Day out to St Andrews today. Began with breakfast of bacon rolls and tea at A'desk's. Arrived at St Andrews (via some sneaky back roads that only 'local' human sat-navs know about, to avoid bank holiday traffic) and met up at the West Sands. MP chased her ball as we walked the beach with hoods up to shelter from the rain. Thankfully it was a passing shower.

Then, time for more food ...... dropped MP off with mum and dad who are always SO willing to have her at no notice (thank you xxx) and off for lunch. Managed to secure a whole "suite" of sofas for ourselves and enjoyed a fab lunch with everyone stuffed. After a little reminiscing of my school days and sneaking a wee look into the quadrangle again, we made our way along to Janettas for an ice-cream. Stopped off at St Mary's where A'desk remembers going to see some bizarre specimens in jars of 'brine' in the Biological and Medical Science Department!!

Strolled down the Pends, ice creams in hand, down to the harbour. Had a walk along the pier (no-one fell off) then up by the cathedral for more historic appreciation ....... then, time for coffee, which we were able to sit out on the pavement cafe for.
