Birthday girl!

When asked a few days ago what she wanted to do for her birthday today, wee C decided that she would REALLY like to go to the hairdresser, and have her hair cut like a grown-up - washed in the hairdresser's sink and then cut and blown dry, rather than the cursory trim she is used to. Sounds simple enough. I said yes.

Then she said she wanted her hair all cut off - "Short, Mummy, so I can look more like you". I said no. She did a bit of pouting and fake crying. Then we compromised, and I said she could get it short enough so it was off her shoulders. Hubby agreed, wee C agreed, all smiles again.

She had a ball at the hairdresser, proclaiming loudly, once the deed was done, "I look great, don't I?". Not modest at all. Quite the comedienne - she made everyone laugh with that comment. She wants to go back in two weeks to get more cut off.... :-)

Then it was off to another classmate's birthday party, so it's been a busy old 6th birthday for wee C. Of course, there were presents and cards to be opened in between all that too... :-)
