The Hunt

The boys have been watching a documentary about the use of thermal imaging by archaeologists in Egypt, and the various shots of temple art and of reed beds by the Nile reminded me of my own visit to Egypt just before I finished working in Jordan.

This is a souvenir I got when I was in Jordan, completing the range: bedouin rug, Palestinian embroidery, local pottery, 'roman' coins and Nabatean pottery from Petra. A modern country, with the full set of naff to lovely souvenirs.
