ASOPOMO Seventeen
Fuzzy Wuzzy is an orchid. Rhyncholaelia digbyana - Native to Honduras, Mexico and Guatemala, this is a genus in the Cattleya family. In hybridizing, this species is responsible for the large frilly lips, big flower size and green cast on many today's modern Cattleyas. Flowers are up to seven inches, pale green, and quite fragrant especially at night - think orange blossoms and cut lime fruit. I have 8 plants - all of which are in flower (and all of which should be divided yet again - not that I am complaining) - that provide a rapturous bouquet in the evening.
