Rhino Iguana

Yesterday there was an unexpected weather forecast for today. And this morning the newspaper reported: "Today first tropical day", which means temperatures over the magical limit of 30°C (southern parts of Holland). There you are!

We planned a tour by bike through the area with halfway a short visit to the Blijdorp Zoo and have a break with cuppa and muffins.

The temperature raised to 25°C around Rotterdam and the bike ride gave a nice cooling from the soft wind. The Blijdorp Zoo was rather quiet on this Monday. The bright sunlight however made taking photos in the open difficult or even impossible.

So I looked at the reptiles' for an appropriate subject. Reptiles are fascinating (at least that what I think :) I found this Rhino Iguana ready to be pictured ... :)

Tomorrow the temperature will be about 15°C and there's rain predicted. And so we recognize the Dutch summer. One day you win them all, the next nothing's left ... ;(
