Thank You Herr Sander
As it was such a fine day, and a holiday, BB and myself set out to have a look at the August Sander show at the National Gallery.
Of course it was fantastic but I must say the quality of the prints was a bit patchy, some excellent and some a bit muddy, but overall we liked the show. The problem with Sander is that you either like him or not - we do. I'm still very taken with the idea of the fixed pose, letting the sitter compose themselves and project their image to the world.
Anyway by way of a homage, I snapped this couple of holidaymakers who were strolling in front of the building.
I also met a man who had a cat on a lead and a group of young woman having a larf among the outdoor sculptures.
Now for a nice, summery dinner.
